CHRIST'S LOVE IS NEVER ENDING!!

Valentine's Day It is over.
I enjoyed going out to eat and giving and receiving cards and good wishes, and sweets are always a great thing!
One thing I'm sure of - the celebration of remembering our love ones on Feb.14th may be over, but our giving and receiving Love is never over. It is an ongoing process.
Aren't we glad that it is a never ending process from our God in Heaven as well? I know that I am. Some days I don't feel so lovely or so lovable. I don't like to hang out in the self pity mode. It's not a good and happy place to be. God always will show us the way out, if we think on Him.
This morning I took my granddaughter to school and was talking to her about Valentine's and also God's perfect love for us. I reminded her of God loving us so
much that He would give His only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, for a sacrifice- a perfect sacrifice for our sins.
I went on to explain as best I could and in the short time we had together, that long ago people had to bring animal sacrifices to a man called a priest, and he had to be perfect (as best he could) and holy, and he would offer up the sacrifice to God on behalf of the person bringing it. This way, that person could confess their sins to God and that sacrifice became an offering to God. God would be pleased and look upon that person and forgive him or her. I said, "I'm so glad that we don't have to do that anymore Kaylie, for I would run out of animals!"
She always looks at me puzzled, but realizing at the same time, that her Nannie means what she says.
I went on to explain to her about the perfect sacrifice given for us. That Jesus, God's Son, came into this sinful world of ours to save us and by His giving His life on that cross, and the shedding of His Blood, He became the Perfect Sacrifice. He didn't have to do this but once. God sent His Only Son into this world so that we might have a way to come into God's presence. This can only happen because of the blood of Jesus given freely for us. I didn't go into a whole lot of explaining, but then the Lord gave me the illustration of a blackboard.
I said, "Kaylie, you know when we have a clean blackboard at school and how nice it is to see it so clean and perfect?- Not dusty with alot of chalk everywhere, but
crystal clean. Well, that's how it is with you and me and all of God's people.
We mess up. We sin. We feel so badly about the things that we do, and because of Jesus we can go directly into God's presence. Just imagine, as we pray we enter into the throne room of God Almighty! What might that look like?
Then, as we confess our sins, and ask God to forgive us , something happens. He does! Why? Because He loves us so much. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows our weak spots. So, just think of it-
when we confess our sins, and really are sorry for them, He knows this and He forgives us and shows us a better way, and gives us strength to do His will.
We feel better and things are better for us. Our sins are cleaned away- just like that blackboard, we have a clean slate, and we can begin again. Isn't that awesome? And, guess what? Jesus, after He gave His life for us, is sitting at His Father's right hand in that throne room and He is praying for us daily. Now we have a perfect Priest- the highest and greatest of them all. Isn't that wonderful?"
She said, "It is Nannie, and then she repeated the verse after I said it to her, "greater is He in me, than He who is in this world".
I so enjoy the times I spend with my grandchildren. I so enjoy telling them about the love of Jesus Christ for them. The love of our Father in Heaven. I love to see their innocent faces be filled with joy and expectation over hearing of the love of the Lord for them. I'm so thankful for that opportunity to share Christ's love for them. I pray they will never, ever forget it.
So Valentine's Day- is over- but, Christ's love for you and me and all of our family and friends and world, is not. God Bless you!!
"Dear Father in Heaven,
These little children are so precious. Naive? I think they are so smart, for they
put away all the questions and all the doubt, and they receive you as we should Father. Let the little children come unto me and forbid them not.
I know it grieves you so when we do not trust in the One who knows us full well- who saw us formed in the womb. How can we doubt you now? How can we not realize how wonderful your love for us is? How can we run from you? How can we not want to serve the true Righteous and Holy One and know that if you could give up Your Son and see and feel His hurt and pain to save this dying world, that you
certainly want to save us? Help us Father. We are weak, but in you, we are strong-
for "Greater is He in us Lord, than he who is in this world!!"
Thank you Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord Jesus, and thank you for Your
Precious Holy Spirit in us.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from
all unrighteousness".
