Hi there! Don't know much about history, geography, chemistry, but, one thing I know!!! There is a GOD above and there is a God who loves us so much ..that He sent HIS ONLY beloved SON to deliver us from the lies and tactics of the devil.
There is a God up there- somewhere- maybe so close we can't imagine it- but, HE IS THERE and HERE for us ...each and every day, minute and second of our lives.
He loves us with a love we can't understand- we just need to believe and accept it. His Son Jesus Christ loves us so much, that He was willing to be obedient and die a death on that cross- so that we might have a way unto His Kingdom on High. The cross is the way- Jesus is the way, the Truth and the Light- and in the Bible, which I believe to be true, it says, He is the ONLY way to His Father in Heaven- and that would be God Almighty.
I thank God for my Christian heritage. I thank God for all that has been passed down to me from others that have gone before me. I thank God for all the prayers that have been spoken for me and for my family. I thank God for all His love and kindness, and for all His teachings and His Word.
Reading from Proverbs: 'Wisdom is the principle thing. God is not wanting any of us to perish- but to come to the Knowledge of God.'
You see, there is a difference between God's wisdom and man's. Yes, we are made in God's image...and yes, we are not illiterate. We are intelligent, not like monkeys. We've figured out much in this life, but just how 'smart' are we? How happy? How much peace do we have? I think that if we, God's people, would center more on praying and seeking His will for our lives, we would be much happier. If we ask for wisdom "He would give it to us liberally, and forsake us not". So, we just have to ask!
Why do we wait so long in coming to our Lord for answers? Why do we struggle in that 'thing' for so long ? Are we indifferent to His ways? Rebellious? We are made in His image, can't we trust His judgment? His will?
His words again: ' people perish because of a 'lack of knowledge'.
I don't know about you- but, I have learned alot the 'hard way'. I did not like those lessons ! I finally came to the end of myself, and have understood that God's ways are the best!! He who wants the best for us, and has the power to do that. He is always ready to forgive and always will, when we repent and truly seek Him.
So much suffering in this world that is due to man turning away from God. Why should it surprise us? The Israelites were brought out of the powerful and stubborn hands of Pharoah. The red sea opened up! They passed through but Pharoah and his armies drowned. They saw miracle after miracle, but time and again, they turned from God to themselves. They suffered, they cried out, and He delivered! God is a loving parent. ! He keeps His promises! He longs for us to come to Him and receive Him and His Son Jesus into our hearts, minds, and our every day lives.
I'll give you some scriptures on wisdom- Should any of you who might stumble this way not have heard of seeking God's wisdom.. Pray for it. Pray that God will give it to you! The Bible says the 'fear of the Lord' is the beginning of wisdom. How many of us really fear the Lord? We will all stand before Him- like it or not. He is in control. He is the One on that throne.
Does He want us 'shaking with fear' at the sound of His name? NO! of course not. Does He want us to serve Him with gladness and seek His will for our lives? Yes! Does He want us to realize that we are His creations and everything we have is because of His giving or allowing it to happen? I think so! He is a jealous God, but only because He knows the end of all things and wants 'no man- no woman- no child- to perish, but have everlasting life! He longs to give us the desires of our hearts. why do we keep putting Him off? Is there not a better time to trust Him?
"Father, I have learned the hard way, many a time. Help me to refrain from indulging in my selfish desires. My ways that are not your ways. Help me and those I know and care about, and those that might come to this blog, know that you really do desire us to seek out your wisdom
and then to trust you in your decisions for us. I know you do not want needless suffering going on and it is going on all around us. The news will bear that out. We cannot turn it on without
seeing some tragedy - some thing or someone that moves us out of our comfort zone for a time.
I'm sure you grieve at so much going on down on this earth. I know with you, there is peace- joy- happiness- even in the bad times- we can feel your presence, if only we search for you. You are a breath away. The Bible says we are to ask you to teach us to number our days aright. We can NOT live forever...on this earth, only in our final destinations...which I hope and pray will be with you in Heaven on High. Teach us your wisdom. Guide us on straight paths- don't let us wander off the main road to you Lord. This will bring us right understanding and
take so much needless fears from our hearts and minds. Thank you Lord for showing me this.
Please reveal this truth to others. In Jesus's Name. Amen"
"the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, but fools despise wisdom and instruction"
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge HIM and He will make your paths straight! Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil, this will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones"
"Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, ...long life is in her right hand; and in her left are riches and honor...her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace!"
and finally- a warning from our Lord above- "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known (Imagine that) " but, since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke- I in turn will laugh at your disaster and will mock when calamity overtakes you like a storm and when distress and trouble overwhelm you. you will call to me and I will not answer".
I did not write that above statement to scare you in to seeking out God and His wisdom. I believe that when we go on in our own driven ways, without regard to the Lord and what we know to be truth- then I believe that we suffer needless consequences. The Lord is always ready to forgive - dust us off and send us back out on our way. This needless suffering is for the birds! We all need...each and every day of our lives....to seek WISDOM from the ONE who loves us with all of His heart and knows what is best for us - the ONE who will keep us from needless harm and suffering.
God bless you!
